In 1923, Cyro Sylvestre arrives in Montreal, directly from his native Napoli, Italy. Crazy about cycling, he starts assisting his brother as a mechanic in the cyling field.
In 1924, Cyro wins the Italian cycling Championship of Montreal. On the trophy one can read : |

In 1932, after his wedding to beautiful Antoinette, he opens his shop on Henri-Julien Street, at the corner of Gilford. Eight years later, the Sylvestre Cyro Cycling Company establishes itself at 4895 Saint-Laurent Blvd, corner of Saint-Joseph. We sell, repair and rent bicycles and sports gear. |

In 1948, Cyro buys a three stories building at 5584 Park Avenue, which will eventually
become ABC Cycles And Sports Ltée.
In the early 60’s, Joe, one of Cyro’s sons, joins his father. Throughout the years, Joe has been able to honour his father’s passion for cycling. Today it is François, Joe’s son, who is in charge of keeping the passion alive. Enthusiastic cyclist himself, François works hard to satisfy the needs and requirements of our customers, while following the trends of a fast pace market
